Lipoma

Advanced Treatment for Lipoma @ Affordable Cost

A lipoma is a round or oval-shaped lump of tissue that grows just beneath the skin. It’s made of fat, moves easily when you touch it, and doesn’t usually cause pain.

What is lipoma?

A lipoma is a round or oval-shaped lump of tissue that grows just beneath the skin like a fatty tumor. It’s made of fat, moves easily when you touch it, and doesn’t usually cause pain.

Lipomas can appear anywhere on the body, but they’re most common on the back, trunk (torso), arms, shoulders, and neck. Our Experts not only focus on removing the lump entirely but also ensure that the surgery is minimally invasive and doesn’t leave any scar.

Our experts combine liposuction and excision techniques to remove the lump completely and deliver the best possible results

What are lipoma symptoms?

Lipomas are often not unpleasant, but if they grow close to a joint or push on a nerve, they may cause discomfort. Many persons with lipomas don’t have any symptoms.

Lipomas are usually

1. Round or oval-shaped

The fatty lumps of rubbery tissue are usually symmetrical.

2. Painless
Some lipomas cause pain and discomfort depending on their location & size
3. Encapsulated

They don’t spread to the tissues surrounding them.

4. Moveable

They sit just beneath the skin’s surface and move when you touch them.

5. Smaller than 2 inches in diameter

In a few cases, lipomas can be larger than 6 inches wide.

What happens if the lipoma is left untreated?

A lipoma will keep expanding if untreated over an extended period of time. The lump may gradually enlarge and even encircle blood vessels and nerves as it grows. Lipomas usually don’t hurt for a long time, but when the lump becomes bigger, the fat tissues may start to squeeze the blood vessels.

What are the types of lipomas?

Lipoma Treatment

Most lipomas don’t need treatment. If a lipoma is bothering you, Our Experts will remove it surgically. Removal of lipomas is safe and efficient, and patients can typically return home the same day. During the initial consultation, the doctor will first physically examine the lipoma. The doctor will identify whether the skin-colored lump exhibits the symptoms of lipoma or liposarcoma (cancerous skin lumps). From the appearance, it can be difficult to differentiate between lipoma, liposarcoma, and other forms of cysts.

If there is discomfort, the doctor will prescribe lab testing to correctly diagnose the problem. The doctor will select the best course of therapy after evaluating the test findings and starting the procedure. The doctor will determine if the skin-colored mass displays lipoma or liposarcoma (cancerous skin lumps) signs.
